Milena Govich

 

Milena Govich (Serbian born on 29 October 1976) is an American actor and director, as well as a singer and dancer who is best known for her character NYPD Detective Nina Cassady on the television show Law & Order.



 



 Early life and education



 Govich was born in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. Her parents, Dr. Bruce Michael Govich, who died in 1998, and Dr. Marilyn Green Govich,[2] are professors of music: Bruce was employed at University of Oklahoma and Marilyn currently teaches voice at University of Central Oklahoma. The mother of her is English-speaking, and her father is Serbian. Milica Govich, her aunt, is also an actor and has been on Broadway along with television and in films.



 



 Milena was the valedictorian of Norman High School's class in 1995. Her academic parents influenced her to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma, having graduated valedictorian once more. an honors degree in both performance and medical studies. She also earned an additional minor in violin and dance. Following graduation, Govich moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor.
